THE BEGINNING
It was on January 8, 1985 that Edwin
Guzmán started The Workers Corporation, a 100 % puertorrican company. At that
time, all he had was one thousand dollars in capital and a great desire to
begin his own business. He knew that if he treated his customers with the
honesty and respect that he was brought up with, offered the best materials at
reasonable prices, professional and dedicated service; then he would be successful.
The Workers started with two
employees and a small residential roof as their first job. Now, fifteen years later,
We have over one hundred employees, and are acquiring a new warehouse that
counts with 20,000 square feet of space. The company is located in the city of
Caguas, a strategical position for customers from all over the island to visit
our facilities. Our location also makes it easier for our employees to travel
to any jobsite on any point of the island.
Our company has been receiving
additional training and skills that have expanded their knowledge, on the new
roofing systems that are being developed, by assisting to seminars and conferences
which have opened new horizons for our company by making us approved
applicators of several manufacturers.
Our present contracts include government,
commercial, industrial and large private projects. Even though we have
expanded our geographical work area and diversified our type of work, we have
maintained intact our philosophy in customer service and our operation
methods. This has been our key to success in this competitive market.
