sailor of the sea

The Sailor's Song
©Andrés Díaz Marrero,2007

Oh, humble Landlubber,
Or sailor of the sea.
I want to hear your song
Please sing your song to me.

The conch shells are asking
To dance with the starfish.
They will listen amazed
For your tune is so rich.

In linen suits, they play.
Cheerful, they come and go.
Mounted on the waves,
A happy choir of froth.

Thousand of oysters
And hundreds of clam's,
Your sailor's song
They want to dance.

Oh! Landlubber,
Or Sailor of the sea.
The song that you just sang
Again, I want to hear.
