Three people took
part. One was a professor of Office Systems Department with knowledge
on multimedia design but not in the subject. The other two were engineers
(mechanical and chemical) with some experience with electric circuits
but not in multimedia design. |

| Think Aloud Task | ||||||||
| Comment
on the first impressions of the site and find out how would you construct
a series circuit on a proto board. |
||||||||
| Summary of Think Aloud Task | ||||||||
|
All three users indicated that the purpose of the site was immediately clear from the home page. They said that the navigation was easy and all chose the right link. They liked the colors and the photos. One of them couldn't open the movies because didn't have QuickTime Player installed in her computer. Another one got lost when external links were selected. At first, she thought that these pages were part of the site. Also she selected the external links for the review exercises and they were not working. The three users navigated
through all the pages of the site. All were satisfied with the design,
external links and information provided. |

| Summary of Post-Test Interview | ||||||||
| Discussions
revealed that the procedure to construct a series circuit must be improved.
Also it was recommended to include the equations describing the circuit,
procedures for all the laboratory activities, and animations that simulate
a lab practice. One of them suggested a link to download QuickTime Player.
Another suggestion was to make a link directly to the color code resistance
calculator.
All were satisfied
with the font size. The two people that saw the current and voltage measurement
movies were impressed and very enthusiastic with the site. |
