Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards

Utopia Planitia already existed. It was the original facilities of Area 001. It's purpose was to provide a safe house for Research and Development of current and de-classified technology of the Federation. The Utopia R&D facility that was located on the surface, established in the year 2338, was already providing many "new technologies" for the Federation and it was felt that a new orbital facility would greatly enhance the production of new ships. That is why orbital Fleetyards were built. They would increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Utopia Planitia by 50%. Later the A.S.D.B. Headquarters were moved from Star Fleet Headquarters in San Francisco to the Utopia Planitia planet facility. There, members of Area 001 and the A.S.D.B. would meet to discuss the new star ships to be built which would later be transferred to Area 001 for testing. Of course, not all new star ships would be built in Utopia Planitia because of security reasons. Only those we felt were not as secret would be built in Utopia. Overall, It is an excellent Facility for the Federation and recently has been working at it's full to build new star ships and repair the ones that need it.

Earth Station McKinley

Starfleet shipbuilding and repair facility in Earth orbit. It was commissioned in the year 2320 and has served the Federation ever since. McKinley Station is a large orbital platform supporting several large articulated work arms, designed to service even the largest star ships such as the Galaxy-class and Sovereign-class. The U.S.S. Sutherland was being retrofitted in Earth Station McKinley when it was called to be part of Picard's Blockade of the Romulan Neutral Zone in the Klingon Civil War of 2367-2368.

San Francisco Fleet Yards

Starfleet dry-dock facility in Earth orbit. Built there in the year 2210 and still used by Starfleet to build smaller ships such as the Miranda-class, Soyuz-class, the new Norway-class, and Sabre-class star ships. This was the site where the original U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 was built. That ship also underwent a major refurbishment and systems upgrade there in 2270. This dry-dock facility was refitted in 2347 with larger working arms, and an extension so that it would support larger ships such as the Excelsior-class and the Akira-class and has been working at full speed for Starfleet.

C.S.S. Mulligan

The C.S.S. Mulligan is one of three Construction Space Stations presently working in the Area 001 Fleet Yards. The Construction Space Station Mulligan was a joint Federation/Cardassian project carried out. The C.S.S. Mulligan was designed by former Fleet Admiral Jonathan Kensler in the year 2350. Production for a prototype station began in 2351 and ended in the year 2362. By the time the prototype (XSP-904513) was completed, some of the hardware and software components were obsolete due to the surge of new technological advances brought forth by Starfleet R&D. In what was considered a freak accident which possibly resulted due to technical difficulties of integrating Federation and Cardassian technology, the station "appeared" to have been destroyed by a core breech. The construction crew and the Starfleet officers were able to evacuate the station in time and no fatalities were reported. It was later revealed that in fact the C.S.S. Mulligan was really just hidden from sensors by an interphasing cloaking device installed there secretly by then Commodore Kensler, to secure it as a facility reserved for Federation use only. Afterwards, the station had to be retrofitted and so starship production was delayed for 6 months. The first starships to come out of the assembly line were the U.S.S. Luxembourg and the U.S.S. Lynx. During its early years the station only produced two ships and did not extend its capabilities to 10 vessels until 2359. It was transferred along with some new facilities in the year 2365 to the Area 001 Fleetyards. In order to meet with the Borg threat, the Mulligan was again retrofitted with some of the experimental technology produced during that time. Most recently the shield generators were upgraded to withstand Breen weaponry. The station has 8 covered pods where the mayor systems are integrated into the starship frame. As soon as that is completed the ship is either taken to a dry dock facility nearby the station or the ship is transferred onto either one of the Mulligan’s dry dock facilities which are integrated within its space frame. Those two Integrated Dry Dock Facilities (IDDF) can hold a 800 meter starship and are mostly used for Maintenance and Repair whereas the covered pods can only hold a 700 meter starship. The Mulligan’s defensive system includes an extensive Type XII Phaser array and 8 Torpedo Bays. It carries a stock of 800 Photon Torpedoes, 300 Quantum Torpedoes, and 50 Tri-Cobalt Devices. All other information is classified but can be accessed by e-mailing Fleet Admiral Jonathan Kensler.

C.S.S. Reuben James

The Construction Space Station Reuben James is another breed of Construction Space Station, it's concept coming from the C.S.S. Mulligan. The Reuben James was designed by Fleet Admiral Amit Misra. It is more of a standard Federation Design for a space station. Built in 2345 and commissioned in 2350, The Reuben James has a central core with four construction pads extending from the focal point. Ops is located at the bottom of the station hiding it from potential danger. The central point has a docking pad in which personnel and materials can be shipped and left there. Each of the four construction pads has a defensive mechanism new to the Federation. It is a Phaser/Torpedo Array that contains torpedo launchers on the upper-half of the array and has Type-U Phaser Banks in the lower-half of the array. The array holds around 100 Photon or Quantum Torpedoes and could hold 2 Tri or Quad-Cobalt devices in a case of an emergency. The C.S.S. Reuben James can build up to four star ships at a time without the help of dry-dock facilities surrounding it. Two Excelsior, Akira, or Nebula class star ships can be built at once in one construction pad. One Sovereign-class Explorer is allowed a whole pad due to immense frame and technological advances. The James can build a Miranda, Soyuz, or Defiant-class vessels on one pad. Fleet Admiral Rene Rios is currently serving as the station's C.O. C.S.S. Reuben James is currently guarded by the Sovereign-class Explorer U.S.S. Dark Saber and the Sabre-class Escort U.S.S. Pathfinder.

Avalon Shipyards

Avalon Shipyards is Bravo Fleet's primary Research and Development Base. Avalon provides services from new construction, to refits, to new ship, and system designs. Located at a secret base in the Raeyan Asteroid belt, it is holographically cloaked to be Camouflaged as a part of Asteroid Field. Avalon is a major construction station for the Federation, but because of it's Secret Nature, is not well known. It's defended by Star base Regula VI and the . -Permission has been obtained to reuse this material by Commodore Patrick Brice of Bravo Fleet.

Antares Fleet Yards

Shipyard in Earth's orbit which built the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-B Excelsior-class retrofit. It was built in the year 2275 and commissioned in 2285. The frame for the Enterprise was taken to it and under seven years, the ship had finished construction. It has been kept there for the last 90 years and has helped in building and retrofitting a lot of the older classes serving in the Federation.

C.S.S. Tereshkova

The C.S.S. Tereshkova is a sister Station to the Reuben James. Even though it hasn't finished it's construction, it already has a C.O. ,Vice Admiral Reuben Soto. This station is very similar to the C.S.S. Reuben James except that it only has three construction pads and replacing the fourth pad is a shuttle docking bay. The station should be completed within a two month range and be commissioned in around August of this year.
