Dear brethrens,
This is what we are going to do, or at
least, what we will try to do. First of
all, pray harder, asking for the will and guidance of God on this activity.
Now, we won't be able to have the
Celebration but we will have a meeting.
Who should come? This is the question.
As I have US$4500 for this I will need for some of you to pay for your
airfare to Port of Spain, Trinidad. I
understand it may be difficult but not impossible. We will pay for the meal and the lodging. Remember the only way Evangelism Explosion
will be established in each of our countries is when we realized that only
through us it will be implemented and sustained. What this means? Well, let's
see an illustration. Let's say you have
a child and you want him/her to attend the best university possible as while
growing he/she has shown a good potential and a very high IQ. What you will do, Sit and wait to see if
he/she can get a scholarship? or Start saving money so when the time comes you
will be able to send him/her to the university, with or without
scholarship? Now, we have seen how EE
works. We have seen how many of us have
been saved by this God-sent presentation. How many people we love, relatives,
friends, co-workers, have been saved.
We say that this is the second best way to preach the Gospel (the first
one: John 4). What we will do wait for
money to come from "heaven" or do our part and share what God have
given us (time, talent, and treasure) to grow his kingdom here and now?
Remember, sometimes the problem is our priorities, not the lack of resources. We can "invest" in social work, in worshiping (musical instruments, sound equipment, etc.) in "church growth" seminars, in prophecies seminars, you name it. But all of this things. which are important, when we die will remain here. Jesus tell us in Matthew 6:19-21, "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rut consume and where thives break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, whre neither the moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and seal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." The only treasures that we can build that last forever and ever are the souls we win.
We will have a Clinic Teacher Seminar. As I have been asking around this happen to
be a big need in most of the countries.
So please identify one or two experienced EE leaders in your country and
let have them come to the meeting. I
will be contacting you personaly so we can talk about this and see how it will
work out. We will also present the new
13-weeks material in this meeting.
Again, please pray, so we can have this
activity. We need to have it!
Please answer as soon as possible and let me know how much is the roundtrip from your country to Port of Spain, Trinidd. The activities will start on Monday, April 8, at 1:00pm and will end on Friday, April 12, night. This means that the departure arrangements should be made for Saturday, April 13.
